the final class short story

 Final Class

          




Chapter 1
The sky is clean today and the sun is shining brightly, the rays of light are coming inside the room and the temperature are so high outside and it make hard to sit beneath the tree. Birds are sinning on the top of trees they are sinning in the joy of summer, summer breeze are blowing outside.
The class is full of students but no one of them looks happy. The professor is teaching in the class. She is a lot more energetic then the people of her age, her hair is blonde and long which she cover with round cloth her eyes are blue and full of the stories of her past these eyes has seen many generation and her skin color are fair but we can see the lines of age on her skin which tell us that how much she struggle in her past . She is wearing kurta and tights,( a casual dress mostly wear in India and Pakistan) which most of women of her age do not wear but she wear them because according to her theory “ the dress tell us your personality “ and she want to look bright, young and nice, instead her real age is 50 she is totally wet is sweat because the room is small but full of students . all the students are present today because today is something special for them someone special are going to leave them to day and they want to met her last time.




CHAPTER 2
Something is missing today even if she is trying to teach students in her full spirit but she can’t because today is her last class. She wants to talk and teach them many things but she can’t. she take a deep breath many things come into her mind when she look toward her students .she again take a deep breath and told students “as you all know today is my final class so if you all have any question about me, my job and anything related to me you can ask me” her question bring smiles to many faces. A student stands up and asks politely” mam why you teach in this college “her question bring many memories back in her mind the teacher replied silently, her eyes are shining brightly as she heard this question , she replied “this place those seats are worth much more to me because those are the same seats in which i study with my friends in her time” .she become unconscious and she remember the time of joy she spent with her friends the stories they share with each other . the time is to short that she spend with her friend but it worth much more to her then any thing she want she remember the last day of her semester , how all girls are praying for the result the tension the atmosphere are so tight that time . Suddenly a student asks her name Mam Natasha. . Mam  Natasha . She comes out of her thoughts to the conscious world. She look around all the girls are worried about her .she told girls nothing happen she just lost in her thoughts. Now the process of question and answer again started she is answering all the question of students one by one. Suddenly one student ask question “miss your personality is very inspiring I want to become just like is there any person you inspired in your past”.” yes there is one person who I inspired in my past “tears of happiness and sadness come into her eyes she want to stop them but she can’t, the room is full of silent n one is talking everyone is just seeing toward the teacher the student regret toward the question which she asked. Suddenly the mam answered “yes, yes I will tell you about the person I inspired the most the person in my grandfather’ he was a great person and he always help other. I….I want…… I want….. then she take deep breath her heart beet are running faster and faster it look like it is going to explode , she sit down on the chair which is placed near the table and take a deep breath and suddenly said “I want to be just like my grandfather he was my ideal, he was my ideal from that time when I was a child and I can barely have the knowledge about the world and people , I …I inspired by his way of work his way of solving problems, he was kind and soft hearted person I want to be just like him…..hmmm… “and then she take a deep breath because talking about her late grandfather bring a lot many memories in her mind. suddenly a student stud of her chair and said “mam you are just like your grandpa even if I did not meet him, the picture you show us about him it tell us that you both are look the same , your personality is same because you also always help others,,, you always solve other people problem…. Yes you are you are kind hearted just like your grandpa”. May I the old women thought … yes mam you are all the girls stud up and said you are just like your grandpa. The words of students make the teacher happy and again the tears come into her eyes but this time it is the tears of happiness and joy.
“No more question about myself”, the teacher said. Now I am going to tell you about why I am teaching the same class for many years. The atmosphere of the room again become serious, they can even hear the heart beet of each other. This beanches wart more for me then anything , Alice the seat where are you sitting is the seat of the most intelligent and mysterious girl in the class ,mysterious in that way she always slept in the class and become cause of trouble for her friend, who always try to wake her up when I come toward their row, but she was also intelligent in such a way she always got full marks in the class and I was always surprised from her result.

Amina the seat you are sitting is the seat of most questioning girl in the class she was a nerd. I always had high hope for her, but she always stud last in the class. before the teacher keep continue her stories the bell ring which is the sign of that the class is over. Ah…..the old lady take the deep breath this is this the end of my career but I am not sad she thought I spent a lot more beautiful time with my little flowers(students) than any other person spent, “I think it is time to say good bye to all of you “the teacher said slowly . Something is missing she thought she remember her time when her favorite teacher was going to retire all the students at that time was given her a fare well party, “but the time is changed now “she talk to herself. When she try to open the door to get out of the room a large group of students come inside with flower in their hands and bags they sprinkle flower everywhere around the teacher an in the room . She was surprised; it is not shock of sadness it is of joy. “Did all of you make this for me “ the teacher asked. “Yes mam “all the girls spoken out. Thanks a lot my dear children today is the best day of my life and I always remember it. She come out of the room as she move toward the door she felt her heart is becoming heavy. After getting out of the gate of the college , she gaze last time the college and the tears of joy and sadness of departure come into her eyes .
